The Festes de Maig is the most iconic celebration in Santa Eulària des Riu, marking the arrival of spring with a lively mix of cultural heritage, music, parades, and traditional Ibizan festivities. While events span from April 23 to June 20, the heart of the celebration is the First Sunday of May (May 4) — a day officially recognised as a cultural festival of special interest. On this day, the town comes alive with traditional dress, folk dancing, floral exhibitions, parades of horses and carts, live music, and religious ceremonies.
