Every July, the picturesque coastal village of Es Caná on Ibiza's eastern shore bursts into vibrant life as it honours its patron saint, San Cristóbal (Sant Cristòfol in Catalan). This week-long celebration seamlessly blends time-honoured customs with contemporary festivities, offering a unique glimpse into the island's rich cultural tapestry.

A Week of Festivities


The celebrations typically span from July 6th to 13th, culminating on July 10th, the feast day of San Cristóbal. The week is packed with activities catering to all ages and interests:

  • Artisan Fair: The newly renovated promenade hosts a bustling artisan market, featuring around 18 stalls showcasing local crafts, including finely woven esparto grass baskets—a nod to the region's traditional craftsmanship.

  • Children's Entertainment: Young attendees delight in foam parties and various games, ensuring the festivities are family-friendly.

  • Live Music and Dance: Evenings come alive with performances ranging from nostalgic '80s and '90s hits to the iconic Flower Power concert on the beach, capturing the island's bohemian spirit.
